eScan Update - 2011-09-07

eScan Users - We have had a false positive go out on an September 5th eScan update that removed some registry entries for Internet Explorer.

This false positive caused the engine to remove a few IE and Outlook related entries from the registry causing these applications to either not open or freeze.

Here is a link for a fix to resolve this issue immediately:

Please download the IEPatch.exe and run it. This will undo the changes. You do not have to reinstall any applications.

If you are not experiencing this issue there is no need to run the patch.
